On a cold Sunday afternoon during the month of October, the residents of Greenwich Chase came out to our Haunted Gazebo Halloween Party in howling winds. Cold cider, strange small round donut pieces with unusual coatings, free giveaways, and Burger King gift certificates were given to those who braved the elements for this fun event!
Forty-five brave souls came in costume from the villages of Monroe, Jackson, Hamilton, Madison, Gary, Washington Valley, Burrows, Megan, Jefferson, and Brian.
Among our costumed contestants were Spartan Warriors, Ghouls of every assorted kind, Jason part 1, 2, 3, and maybe 4, Bananas (in a bunch), Shrek (in a carriage), Harry Potter with this wand, Witches of all varieties, Princesses of every kind, Elvis - The King of Rock-n-Roll with his guitar, microphone and accompanying band, Bumble Bees without their stingers, Beatle Juice, Vampiresses, Entomologists, Sweetheart Bats, Dr. Toxic, a cuddly but unhappy Giraffe that did not like the cold or the wind, Race Car Drivers with plenty of endorsements, Ariel, a real Ninja, The Incredibles Dash - but he was so fast we hardly saw him, a human Basketball, NY Giants fans in sweatshirts (now that was a good idea), Superman with his super wind abilities, Rooster - not sure if it was the John Wayne one or the poultry kind, and Snow White, an all time favorite… just to mention a few!
